In which the savvy Savva surveys the feuding elephant scene ...

The pond was up for the multi-nodal joke - you can still catch it in Mad as Hell on iView, but the real joke was the number of extras and the props they could afford for the gag ... was that the entire production department on display?

Never mind, the pond forgave the lack of Comrade Bill zingers in the final episode, and hopes the show will return, it being one of the few bright spots on their ABC (the pond is now well into the closing eps of People of Earth, you'll need to know how to do it to view here, but that's another story, one of a blind devotion to the reptile kind and cause).

But enough of entertainment, because the pond remains transfixed by assorted other reptile pleasures ... not least the fight by our Gracie to bring back Petey boy ...

The pond knew it wasn't just a cluster of cranky old men ... of course it included cranky our Gracie ... but what to make of Fergo chipping in?

Bonkers? Oh come on, be fair, useless and deluded, but bonkers when we need all the entertainers we can get?

Fortunately old codgers in their dotage are still welcome in the Surry Hills bunker ...

Talk of cranky men ... but immediately they unleashed the onion muncher, the pond knew it had to turn to the savvy Savva, right up at the top of the page ...

The Abbott gang? The pond immediately caught the vibe ...

And how poignant that they should have put the Abbott gang just below the strongest Atlantic Ocean hurricane ever recorded ... sssh, please no mention of of climate science, we have to get on with the savvy Savva ...

Now all this is good and true and proper and right and just and so, but the pond has noted a certain confusion in the reptiles, none more obvious than that afflicting the oscillating fan.

At one moment he's scribbling ...

And the next moment he's counting the polls to the fatal day of the demise of Malware ...

Tick-tock Onoda.

Yes, it's completely possible to imagine them out there in the jungle ...

And that's why the pond always turns back to the savvy Savva. No saucy doubts or fears for her ...and now, like those ancient revenge movies, the tables are turned ...

The hunted becomes the hunter ...

Indeed, indeed ...and Malware's been such a tremendous success ...

Why letters have been sent, or will be sent, by Xmas ...

It reminded the pond of that other joke ...

And so to a last savvy Savva gobbet invoking Warrnambool, which let's face it, is just down the road from Warringah ...

And after that vote of confidence in the man who gave us the green box so that Micallef might round up a few extras to do a joke about antiques, why not a Pope, with more papal jesting here ...

Dammit, he mentioned climate science ... and so in remorse the pond turns to something it overlooked awhile ago, a tasty after-dinner mint. Go on, where's the harm in having just one more ...

There, no harm at all ...

In that spirit, to wrap up, the pond would like to pitch a sequel idea for Micallef following his elephant show: Power crazed Liberals in Murdochian La La Surry Hills Bunker Land ...

  1. Re Pansy Lai, I encountered the following quote from Pansy on "their" ABC

"Chinese parents are telling me that they are fearful for what it means," she said.

"If the law changes, will parents still have the right to voice their concerns about the Safe Schools program? Would the same happen to them? Are they going to be laid off their government jobs or have their job registrations reviewed for voicing out their views on traditional marriage?
    "

I really can't work out why - apart from various scurrilous reptile campaigns of lies - the "Chinese parents" would think they are still in China.

    1. :)³ Lies and saucy doubts and fears and fear-mongering of the first water ... and all of it just rampant homophobia in disguise ...

    2. Actually, DP, I was beginning to wonder whether maybe Pansy is an incognito agent of the Chinese Government herself - charged with keeping Australian resident Chinese in fear of their new home and thus still faithfully loyal to Xi Jinping
