In which petulant Peta makes a case for aliens ...

The pond had an opportunity for a double dose of Miranda the Devine, but as with clap, there's a good argument that one dose is enough, especially when the Devine goes into tough cop mode ...

The pond can imagine the Devine's weekend viewing ...

But too much Devine wouldn't have allowed enough room for petulant Peta and it sounded like she was on fire ...

Now the pond doesn't want to get picky or pedantic, but is Australian citizenship a privilege when you're born here?

No doubt petulant Peta was on the case, it would all be sorted, and if in doubt, it would all be the fault of Malware ...

Sadly when the pond got to the actual text, there was some splendid opening abuse, but very little actual copy ...

Now while it was short, there were a couple of gems and nuggets of gold in that lot, not least the notion of a free society where anyone who disagreed should be hanged, or at the very least deported on the spot, because freedom ...

The shortness of the pungent text reminded the pond of why in her time in office petulant Peta was widely celebrated and much loved ...

But it left the pond hungering, hankering, for more petulant Peta, and luckily she'd doubled down ...

What the pond particularly loves is the children of Chairman Rupert berating billionaires and foreigners and spruikers intent on fleecing innocent dinkum souls ...

Heck, why stop there? Remember there's also the evils of entrepreneurs and the whole damned notion of capitalism and people making a profit ...

Why with any luck, reading petulant Peta might be roughly equivalent to a few pages in Das Kapital ...

Splendid stuff. Invoking Tirath Kehmlani and comparing Elon Musk to him, and conjuring snake-oil salesmen from overseas is purest nativism, and allows the pond to place a few ads for snake oil treatments which might finally turn the pond's business model into a raging success ...

Of course there's a downside to this sort of nativism. The poor old chairman cops this sort of divisive nationalism over the other side of the Pacific ...

The pond must insist that the United States bought this dud bill of goods, and there's no way to claim that the chairman remains Australian, as per this story in the LA Times ...

Now he's a snake-oil salesman come to peddle his alien ideas down under ... the pond can spot the type a mile off ...

Oh and he regularly makes out like some looting, rorting Khemlani figure with his fingers in the till ...

But the pond's already mentioned that one, and the active links are at the ABC here, and so it's back to petulant Peta, denouncing capitalists and entrepreneurs and furriners and the whole damned shonky edifice of international trade and capitalism, donning her finest Marxist finery in the process ... as she rails at the easy way the wicked furrin capitalist easily fools the gullible crow eaters ...

Oh they might pretend they all live in the Port and have nothing to do with the crows (or so the pond's been told), but petulant Peta knows what it's like to look into the entrepreneurial, capitalist darkness ...

A trip to Mars? Of course the copper-clad Malware would fall for that one. Why he's as dumb as the average crow eater, an easy mark for a sinister capitalist ...

That's why the pond has every hope Malware will respond to this ad ...

He's been looking everywhere for a spine, surely he'll take the bait ...

And now where would we be without a plea for dinkum coal ...

The fields of France and the fields of the La Trobe valley? World War One and coal?

Talk about an epic bout of barking mad howling at the moon stuff ...

The pond had its doubts about petulant Peta. At times she purported to some kind of sanity, but this rich roaming from Khemlani to Monash while talking of the dangers of pesky furriners is a classic, and shows that she's already arrived in the Murdochian hall of fame ...

The pond will never doubt her again.

And now because the pond always likes an easy laugh and never mind the tragedy, a couple of closing cartoons ...

  1. Hi Dorothy,

It's ironic that La Credlin should be waxing lyrical about Monash in a Murdoch publication.

    It was not always so;

    1. Well we can't be running around after all those whinging immigrants, can we DW. Instead they should:
      "grow a spine" Matt Canavan
      "get a backbone" Peter Dutton.

Otherwise, we should just revoke their privileges, yes ?

  2. Apart from Pet. Pet's repeated complete failure to understand the function of 'Tesla' batteries (they're to even out 'irregular generation' patterns in continuous use, not provide full backup power through a total blackout), she's got something with the nuclear thing.

Did you know that Westinghouse, General Electric and Rolls Royce make hundreds of reliable steady nuclear fission generators ? Currently for naval vessels only, of course:

"...in the U.S. a single series of standardized designs was built by both Westinghouse and General Electric, with one reactor powering each vessel. Rolls Royce built similar units for Royal Navy submarines and then developed the design further to the PWR-2. Numerous submarines with an S5W reactor plant were built.

At the end of the Cold War in 1989, there were over 400 nuclear-powered submarines operational or being built. Some 250 of these submarines have now been scrapped and some on order canceled, due to weapons reduction programs
    ."

Just think, we could buy all those power units and bring them to Melbourne, start 'em up and pluf 'em in to power our city instead of a bunch of dumb submarines and other floating junk.

Oh, but ooops ... Westinghouse, General Electric and Rolls Royce are just more of those evil exploitative, foreign 'Khemlani cons' aren't they. Oh well ...
